Role Summary

Reports To: Senior Field Talent Manager
Location: Remote with some travel required

 

The URBN Field Recruiter serves as a brand ambassador for all URBN brands, embodying company values while overseeing the entire talent acquisition process within a specific geographical region of stores. This includes elevating company awareness, collaborating with business partners, maintaining and improving the selection process and systems, and training store teams to achieve recruitment goals.

Role Responsibilities

CANDIDATE EXPEREINCE

  • Builds an authentic connection with candidates by sharing each brand’s culture, vision, and values to provide a unique perspective of URBN employment
  • Continuously evolves recruitment and communication strategies to proactively meet the evolving needs of both the business and candidates
  • Effectively utilizes systems and technology to improve the screening, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding processes
  • Delivers training through various tools, calls, and case management to support store hiring leaders and directly enhance the candidate experience

NETWORK AND RECRUIT

  • Implements creative and strategic methods to attract an external network and identify high caliber talent for priority roles
  • Actively promotes brand awareness and enhances the visibility of open positions through targeted utilization of job boards, with a specific focus on platforms like LinkedIn and Indeed
  • Provides additional recruitment support for recruiting initiatives or staffing challenges in priority markets
  • Collaborates with field leaders to achieve hiring timeline goals for company expansion of new stores, pop-up shops, and new brand launches
  • Incorporates feedback, turnover data, and applicant trends into actionable ideas that support field recruitment priorities
  • Identifies and drives seasonal recruitment strategies by providing guidance and resources to field hiring managers at the store, district, & regional level
  • Collaborates with Talent Acquisition partners to successfully promote internal URBN opportunities via recruitment marketing, virtual calls, and in-person events
  • Fosters employee engagement and the internal mobility policy through exploratory role and career conversations

BUILD RELATIONSHIPS

  • Prioritizes team and one-on-one meetings to drive initiatives, address challenges, and maintain an environment of openness and teamwork
  • Ensures direct and regular communication with the store operations and field teams of each brand through weekly recruitment updates and management of hiring pages
  • Works with District Managers and Recruitment Leads as a recruiting subject matter expert to support or guide on filling district vacancies
  • Proactively builds relationships with Regional & District Brand partners, Shared Services, and Home Office Recruiters to deliver on shared people priorities

SYSTEMS & PROCESSES

  • Maintains proficiency in all hiring technology and acts as a liaison between store hiring managers and various HR teams ensuring systems are operating as designed
  • Manages administrative functions and compliance with job posts and templates for the field hiring manager population
  • Supports district partners with operational needs of posting, hiring, and onboarding new leaders
  • Engages with Shared Service partners to create and maintain hiring guides and reference tools to reflect the current state of business when process or policy changes dictate

Requirements

  • 3+ years as a retail industry recruiter or 1+ year supporting URBN brands in multi-unit recruitment
  • Demonstrated track record in identifying, assessing, and successfully onboarding both internal and external talent
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with history of implementing ideas
  • Able to understand the nuances that define each brand’s identity and employee experience
  • Travel required for work meetings and recruiting trips in defined region
