Role Summary

The Receiving and Fulfillment Supervisor plays a pivotal role, requiring a robust understanding of plants, retail replenishment fulfillment processes, and receiving processes. Thriving in a production-centric environment, they must possess exceptional problem-solving abilities, excel at multitasking in environments, and maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail.

Collaborating with receiving, fulfillment, and transportation teams, the Consolidation Supervisor addresses operational challenges and offers support, contributing to overall efficiency by flexibly undertaking assigned duties as needed. This comprehensive approach ensures smooth operations and sustained success in a dynamic warehouse environment. Additionally, the Consolidation Supervisor takes ownership of administrative inventory control processes, ensuring their timely and accurate completion.

Role Responsibilities

  • Ensure clear communication with external teams, including home office and store receiving teams
  • Ensure all paperwork for inbound and outbound products is prepped, completed, and available according to company, DOT, and USDA requirements
  • Lead delivery unloading, ensuring safe & efficient processes are followed by all team members
  • Take ownership of inventory control processes, including PO and transfer entry
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, fostering compliance and professionalism
  • Communicate department expectations and maintain clear communication channels
  • Coordinate day-to-day work activities to optimize efficiency and achieve operational goals
  • Provide necessary tools, training, and support for safety, proficiency, and alignment with departmental goals
  • Cultivate a positive work environment, instilling ownership and accountability among team members
  • Inspect incoming and outgoing plant quality and inventory accuracy, ensuring adherence to standards and driving continuous improvement
  • Cross-train employees to enhance skill sets and promote operational flexibility
  • Collaborate with management and cross-functional teams to address operational issues
  • Review individual performance and attendance, providing constructive feedback and counseling
  • Address employee needs in collaboration with the Senior Logistics Manager
  • Promote and maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned, contributing to overall operational efficiency

Role Qualifications

  • Proven ability to communicate with, support, and motivate employees to achieve operational objectives

  • Excellent verbal /written communication skills

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a team environment

  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace, Asana, and Zoom applications

  • Knowledge of Island Pacific, Manhattan Associates WMS, or equivalent warehouse management systems

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Previous supervisory experience preferred 

  • Demonstrate the ability to manage change in an appropriate and effective manner and is a strong role model to the team

  • Horticultural knowledge required

  • Flexible schedule preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Stand and walk throughout a shift 

  • Climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl for extended periods 

  • Reach, pull, push, and lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights up to 50 pounds 

  • Operate warehouse equipment safely as required for the position (i.e. forklift, pallet jack, box cutter, carts) which requires coordinated movements

  • Must be willing and able to work outside in all weather conditions

Pay Range
