Terrain Delivery Driver - Full-Time

A Terrain Delivery Driver reports to the Consolidation Supervisor and Senior Logistics Manager to work collaboratively to ensure the safe and successful delivery of plants, soil, and other nursery products to various Terrain store locations in the Northeast & Mid Atlantic. Due to travel requirements, early morning availability is required. Some overnight travel is also required.

• Operates as an extension of the brand while on deliveries and maintains professional and positive demeanor
• Upkeeps cleanliness standards with the consolidation tools and receiving areas to ensure the store is tidy and safe for customers and employees
• On occasion, may support local customer order deliveries

• Communicates daily with the Consolidation Supervisor to strategize and execute the delivery needs; communicates with Consolidation and Store teams any delays due to traffic or truck problems
• Works productively with the teams in each location to efficiently load and deliver plant material
• Provide leadership, training, and be a role model for the driving team and Consolidation associates by demonstrating excellence, efficiency, and professionalism in all tasks
• Support other areas of the Consolidation department or the Glen Mills store when delivery work is minimal; areas of support include but are not limited to shipment processing or pulling, site maintenance, or plant maintenance

• Works collaboratively with the consolidation receiving & fulfillment team to process incoming plant shipment into Consolidation inventory
• Leads or assists with pulling and staging all product listed for shipment based on buyer requests; packs all product securely onto the truck to minimize damage to plants, shipping carts, or truck
• Supports the store receiving employees to efficiently unload product; confirms item counts, plant condition, and signs off on paperwork
• Performs daily inspection of truck and communicates any issues requiring attention or repair; ensures truck is fueled and cleaned after each delivery
• Maintain all vehicle paperwork and ensure vehicle maintenance is completed as required
• Complete all paperwork related to deliveries
• Follow all federal and state regulations regarding cargo transportation and road safety
• Adheres to company’s safety standards, inventory accuracy, reduction of product loss, and upholds all policy and procedures to support the profitability of the brand

• Must have valid driver license
• Must be able to fulfill requirements of DOT medical exam, or provide a current DOT medical card
• Experience operating cargo vans and box trucks up to 26’ in size
• Ability to lift more than 50lbs and push 100lbs daily
• Willing and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Early morning/weekday availability
• Must successfully complete all safety training and demonstrate safe and knowledgeable operation of the vehicle on delivery routes
