Role Summary

The Assistant Department Manager supports the Home Outlet store operations to achieve an engaging and inspiring service environment. This includes supervision of salesfloor, driving customer engagement, and contributing to visual needs.

Role Responsibilities

Customer Experience
  • Leads by example in upholding a service culture that demonstrates extraordinary service to cultivate an environment where all customers feel welcome, heard and valued
  • Acts as a brand representative reflective of the company values; collaborates with the leadership team on the creation of an engaging visual experience that appeals to the Home Outlet customer  
  • Delivers a seamless shopping experience through understanding and utilization of systems and applications for an efficient customer engagement; if applicable creates content for social media to engage social followers to drive brand engagement and drive traffic into the store
Leadership + Team Management
  • Actively participates in managing the store environment and customer experience by facilitating an energized pace, positivity of the team, management of the daily zone, and driving sales
  • Takes initiative in teaching and sharing product knowledge, new arrivals, promotions, and store updates with the team
  • Provides timely and specific employee feedback to create a culture of action and accountability; prioritizes new hire onboarding and development to protect the employee experience and drive a strong store culture
Visual + Business Operations
  • Supports daily operating processes such as opening and closing procedures, maintaining store standards, restocking product, and helping with facilities or IT issues; taking an active role in forecasting sales and managing payroll to facilitate an effective daily zone chart
  • Collaborates with key partners to effectively execute shipment, place product, and support customer pick up
  • Ensures markdowns and promotions are executed and signed accurately; if applicable, creates content to engage social media followers and drive traffic into the store
  • Adheres to store’s safety standards, inventory accuracy, reduction of product loss, and upholds all company policy and procedures to support the profitability of the store
Communication + Relationships
  • Contributes to an inclusive work environment by actively listening to others and seeking different perspectives
  • Checks in with leadership to maintain communication and teamwork on completing store objectives; stays current and responds to communication
  • Provides insights related to the customer and staff experience and communicates feedback to Service and Styling Manager

Role Qualifications

  • Passion for Anthropologie home decor
  • 1+ years leadership experience
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the store including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy boxes and furniture

Pay Range

Starting from USD $22.00/Hr.
